{Vintage Find} Coach Clutch
I'm not one to splurge on {unpractical} things,
but this one spoke to me...
While visiting a vintage shop in Newport with my sister-in-law
we saw this gold beauty,
a vintage Coach clutch
with cute little coin purse and fold over top.
Not so practical for everyday with 2 boys, but oh so pretty.
I walked out of the store without it.
Sad, no?
Oh the regret.
My sister-in-law checked a few days later, it was still there.
This time, no regrets.
It's now in my closet begging for an adult evening out : )
Have you splurged on anything recently?

DIY: How to Create a Temporary Party Backdrop
The vision I had for my Little Monsters party required four frames to be hung above the dessert table. I wanted each monster's personality to shine through a color coordinated yarn frame. Here is how I created a temporary party backdrop without damaging my walls.
Meet my secret weapon, Command. The 5 lbs command hooks were perfect for my frames. The directions said to press the hook to the wall for 30 seconds, then wait 1 hours before hanging anything from it. The hook will form a tight bond until you release it from the wall.
The frames were hung from long pieces of blue ribbon so that the hooks would not be visible in the photographs.

Little Monsters Party: DIY With YARN
TA-DA!!!! Here is my Little Monsters Dessert Table featured in Bird's Party Magazine!
It's been hard to keep this project quiet. I have been SO excited to share it with you. This week, I will be sharing more photos, insider party tips, and introducing you to my fabulous party vendors.
DIY TIP #1: YARN !!!!
Yarn is an inexpensive craft supply that comes in all sorts of colors and textures. It is also a great alternative to paint. I bought old frames in various sizes from a thrift store and removed the backing and glass. The rest was easy, it just requires A LOT of wrapping of yarn around the frame.
I added YARN accents throughout the dessert table...on the soda bottles
On the cake stand boxes
I even wrapped an entire box in brown yarn
