Air Show Party

Our local airport hosted an Air Show this weekend.
My friend's backyard was the perfect place to view the show.
Becky did all the work, I just offered some ideas and whipped up this invitation.

I knew the invitation was about all I could do.
Pluff Mud Studio stepped in and designed the rest of the graphics for the party.
Christina did an amazing job!

Air Show Banner and the amazing view out her sun room window!

Crafting Station for the Kids
where kids could glitter, paint and color airplanes

My kids have played air show for two days straight, best favor ever!

The party was fantastic.
Great food, spectacular views, and good company.
We can't wait to do it again next year!

The Adventures of a Thrifted Frame

The story begins with a frame I found at the thrift store.
It has great potential, don't you think?

I spray painted it blue and glued the tissue grass down for the April Showers Party

Then I removed the grass and reused it on this wreath

Yesterday, I found two more of those frames at the same thrift store, of course I bought them and have big plans for them.

Do you have any fun thrifted adventures?

Book Swap Party

Time to celebrate back to school with a Book Swap Party!
10 best buds came over to play, snack, search, and swap.

Book Page Bunting, Book Marks, and Book Mobile

Kids brought new or old books to swap

N bugger wanted to show you his favorite book, The Incredible Book-Eating Boy
it is a fantastic book and the boys just love the ending!

Kid snacks in the pup bowls, the kids got a kick out of this

Each best bud took home a personalized book tote, book plates, and bookmark

The pup sure likes to read

By now are you wondering why I wrote play, snack.... search?

The pup lost his collar!  The kids had to search the yard and each find a hidden paper dog collar. On the back was a number that determined the order in which the kids would pick their new book. Worked perfectly!

J Bugger and his BFF reading their new treasures

New books went home in new totes!

And we can't forget about this book wreath

Everyone had a great time! This was a fun, inexpensive way to get the kids excited about books and a new school year. The mommies got to get rid of some duplicate books and the kids loved taking home new books.

A HUGE thank you to Jaimee from a Bushel and Peck Paper for supplying all the goodies for the Book Swap. I cannot rave enough about her products and how fantastic she is to work with. Please check out her shop, facebook page, or blog!

Lovable Labels Review and Giveaway

I am taking you somewhere I vowed I never would.
My refrigerator.
How does yours look right now?
Mine got a little face lift thanks to Lovable Labels
I already knew I loved the brand. When friends ask me where I buy my labels and I always send them to Lovable Labels. I have their labels on everything bugger related. They never fall off and are completely boy-proof. So when I had an opportunity to test a new product called Date It labels, I jumped at the chance.

Date It Labels are my newest solution to better kitchen organization. They are completely reusable. Just stick the label on a container and write directly on it with the special write-on marker. When you are ready to rewrite the label just wipe off with a dry paper towel. They are totally safe for the freezer, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher (yay, no fuss!)

The country picnic design even matches my food containers, how lovely!

No more guessing the date or what exactly is in there
(please tell me that I'm not alone with the unidentifiable foods in the freezer!!!)

I recently guest posted on Southern Belle's Charm about one of my favorite themes, BOOKS!  I thought I would re-post here in case you missed it. A book theme can be extremely versatile and can range from a sophisticated wedding, to whimsical child's party or baby shower {featuring a very special due date}.

Breathtaking Book Dessert Table

Invitations. I am completely swooning over this unique invitation by Mismikado Creations. Inside each book holds a beautiful invitation, map, and pocket with RSVP reply card.

I also love this printable {freebie} library card invitation from Reid Girls Handmade

Decorations. Search your home for things like hardcover books, globes, or rulers. They all make great (and inexpensive) decorations. Make your own book wreath, hang books from a ceiling or tree, stack books in piles, or display books bundled with ribbon or twine.

Book pages can be made into garlands, buntings, and paper medallions

Party Favors. Could be as simple as a book, bookplates, journals, or book totes.

Tuck bookplates inside these adorable notebook bitty bags from Whisker Graphics

Library card gift wrap idea from the The Knot

Or send your guest home with this tote (tutorial
Yes, I had to leave you with these final words. I'll admit, I'm still giggling a little.
