Rainbow Lovin'

Stumbled on this gorgeous {free} rainbow print made by Rebecca from Simple As That. I am loving all the rainbow themed parties and St. Pat's crafts out there and have some big plans for it next month. Rebecca currently lives on a tiny island in the Caribbean right now, how cool is that?  She doesn't even have a printer, so if you do print this beauty, send her a picture! I know she would love that.

Behind the scenes:

*My biggest bugger has been sick with a stomach bug. I haven't left the house in 6 days. Starting to get the stir crazies!

*Notice a new button on top of my page labeled "promise me"?  I decided to share my personal goals for the promise me challenge. I will continue to update my progress there.

Anyone else writing down some goals?

Then, I find out Jessica from Pen n' Paper flowers Studio and Designs is a wife, mom, entrepreneur, & part of the Martha Stewart Dreamers Into Doers circle. Wow. Now she is stepping up again and has created the promise me challenge.

A year long adventure of enrichment, self-discovery, personal growth, creative awakening, promises, joy, and purpose.

Purpose. That is a strong, deliberate word.
It means that I need to be more intentional in my decisions, my time, my direction.

Feel inspired yet?

Please visit Jessica's blog to get all the details and join her promise me challenge. Send her your name (tell her I sent you!) and she will add you to her promise me list. There might even be some fun inspirational gifts along the way...

Jessica created this {adorable} printable promise me list
Fill it out.
Go beyond the goals you think you can do.

Terrible Twos Strike Again

This is the latest hobby of my two year old...
he gathers every toy in playroom
and piles them on the stairs

This has become a daily ritual. He waits till the coast is clear and quietly starts his work. This is our second time around for experiencing the terrible twos, somehow this time it seems worse with my littlest bugger. Is that true for anyone else?

More public tantrums

No interest in potty training

Every sentence begins and ends with "no" or better yet the word "poop"

Anyone else experiencing the two's out there or been through them?!!!

Shamrock Gardens and More Fun St. Patty's Printables

Let the St. Patty's Day decorating continue!  As I mentioned yesterday, my hubby and I had our first date on St. Patrick's Day. I drove 8 hours to see him (not knowing for sure if he was actually going to show up) and he ditched his friends to meet me. Must have meant to be because it all worked out in the end! Since I have two bugger boys under 5, I usually keep my decorating simple. Here's what I came up with...

Shamrock Garden

I decided to create a Shamrock garden with these printables. I had all the materials on hand, so this project was quick and cheap to make. What you will need:

Lolly pop sticks
Floral Tape
Scrapbook paper or party circles
Foam block
Gold Coins
Tape
Box (mine is from T.J.Maxx)

I punched my circles using a two inch circle punch. Wrapped floral tape around each lolly pop stick. Then taped the circles to the sticks. On some sticks I taped 2 circles on others I taped 3 on a stick to look like a shamrock. I then stuck the sticks into the floral foam. It would also be cute to cut scrapbook paper into hearts to create more of a shamrock look. I then covered the foam with gold coins. Now you have a shamrock garden!

I thought I would share more St. Patty's Day printables with you. There are so many cutes ones out there, I don't know how you will be able to pick!

Blog Questions: FAQ Edition

I know there are a lot of new blog readers out there, so I thought I would try and answer a few questions. Sorry if this is repeating info for some of you!

How Do I Subscribe?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------>
In the right column, you can follow my blog by hitting the "follow" button or subscribe to posts.
It will ask you to sign in using an account from google, twitter, or yahoo. I like google, so I created an account there.

You can set up a profile and add your email address so that bloggers can email you back directly (step by step tutorial here). Why would that be important?  If you don't add make your email visible, bloggers cannot reply to your comments.

Why subscribe?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------>
You can keep track of the blogs you follow, allows you to leave comments, and also allows bloggers to respond to your comments.

Do you use Facebook?

Yay! So do I!  You can receive new posts via facebook and other fun updates. To become a fan, either click the like button at the top right corner of this site or here:

Do you read a few blogs on a daily basis?

If you find yourself repeatedly visiting a website to check for updates or if you stumble across a page that you want to keep track of then you might want to use Google Reader.   When a blog has a new post, it will show up in your Google Reader almost like email. This saves the time and hassle of bookmarking each individual site and also alerts you when a new post is up. You can also star your favorite posts . It's a HUGE time saver. Especially if you subscribe to a lot of blogs.

To get to Google Reader:

Google.com and sign into your account
Click on more (last tab on the right),
Scroll down the list and click on reader

Google Reader will look like this once you have added some subscriptions:

Hope that is a good start!  Let me know if you have other questions I can help with.
